Handcrafted Home is a UK home for genuinely handmade things, run by Noman Khan and built on one belief: what you live with should be made by real hands, not stamped out by a machine. The business began in Ireland and is now based in London, delivering its handmade collection across the UK, and it has spent years doing one thing well: finding pieces with real craft behind them.
We are not the factory and we don’t pretend to be. We work with the artisans who make each piece, and we choose supplier partners who share the same standard. Our kilim rugs and runners are handwoven from pure wool by skilled weavers in Afghanistan and Turkey. Our camel-skin lamps and blue-pottery ceramics are painted by hand in South Asia. Our woven laundry hampers and Beba totes come from a UK supplier who works in Milulu reed grass, the same natural fibre prized for its strength and light, breathable weave.
Because none of it is mass-produced, no two pieces are ever the same. Buy a rug from us and you own the only one like it. You also help keep these crafts, and the people who practise them, in work.

Everything we sell is slow to make, and that is the point. A large kilim can spend weeks on the loom, woven from wool that is often coloured with natural, plant-based dyes, which is why the tones look warm and softly uneven rather than flatly printed. The camel-skin lamps are shaped and painted one at a time, so each casts its light a little differently. The ceramics are thrown, glazed and painted by hand. The hampers and totes are woven strand by strand from natural reed.
Machine production can copy the look of this. It cannot copy the hours, the skill or the character that come with it.
